Plain Jane World Premiere Nov. 17

November 12th, 2008 by Mr. Danger

The long-awaited debut of Dan Baker’s Plain Jane is just a few days away.

Filmed on location in Memphis this summer, the film stars Anna Campbell, Alissa Diggs and Marguerite Hibbets in the story of a woman whose dreary and monotonous life is changed when the kindness of a stranger opens her up to a world outside herself.  Jane (Campbell) resists the invitation to new life extended by new friend Phoebe (Diggs), one Jane isn’t sure she wants. But events cause Jane to question whether it’s time for a change.

Come watch Plain Jane, a production of Baker’s Green Beetle, will be featured in the Tennessee Limousine Service Filmmakers Showcase, Nov. 17 at Malco on the Square., 2105 Court St.

The showcase, which starts at 7p.m., put a spotlight on the creative film ventures of Memphians. A host of Memphis artisans were involved with Baker’s film, including the work of director of photography Paul Skidmore, production designer Sarah Hascher and a riveting score composed by Wes Melton.

But you can’t see their handiwork if you aren’t there! Don’t miss this occasion to be among the first to see Plain Jane.

About DangerCouch!

Tales of D.C.'s origin are as varied as the individuals who fabricate them. For many years the Industrial Accident theory dominated public opinion, but recently the Alien Brain Exchange theory has risen in prominence with the ever-present Government Conspiracy theory waiting for its moment in the sun.

The couchmen remain an enduring mystery as obscure to themselves as to their throngs of adoring fans.
