DC Christmas Show - A Rare Moment Almost Out of Character
So its finally over. After about six months of dreaming, planning, filming and practicing, Danger Couch Christmas has achieved reality. And it feels good.
It feels really good.
It was great to see everyone who came out. Thank you to all who attended. Together, we collected a lot of canned food for Fallen Walls and hopefully raised public awareness for Daniel Harris and crew, and how much they do for the down and out in Memphis.
And thanks also to those who really, really wanted to attend but couldn’t. (Sorry Tim)
A huge, soaring thank you to SHANE FLYNN, audio engineering champion and tragically unacknowledged master of the mixing board. He personally whipped every stubborn sound wave and unruly frequency into beautiful submission. Sadly, there was a complete and utter failure to point this fact out to the crowd. Our front man, Ruckus, has been sternly reprimanded, and threatened with the fiercest violence if such an egregious error should ever occur again. I believe his tears of repentance to be genuine.
Thank you to all our musical guests, all our film ninjas, and to everyone who helped drag this thing kicking and screaming out of the dark recesses of imagination and into the light. Special thanks again to Dianne Morgan, our own fifth Beatle, who did more of the dragging than most on this project.
Serving an internet audience is a strangely anonymous experience and so it was great to be able to see and meet everyone and hopefully show them a good time. (Or a reasonable facsimile thereof.)
It was a lot of fun.
From everyone here at the Couch, thanks again for everything
-Brent
